St Nicholas’ Chapel is located on Hamed Bin Abdullah Road (the main street of downtown Fujairah) across from the ADNOC station and ADCB building. The chapel is in suite 101 above the curtain shop (entrance is in the alley next to the Puranmal Restaurant). Parking is available in front of the building or in back by the Maha Supermarket.
We gather every Friday evening at 5:00 pm for Holy Eucharist with music and a sermon. During worship there is Christian Formation for children as well as fellowship time following the service. Around 30 people attend services with a membership of close to 60 congregants. The church is mostly made up of teachers, hospital personnel and port workers from many nations and denominations. The congregation is incredibly talented and welcoming!
The St Nicholas’ congregation are very involved in the community of Fujairah and in ecumenical work. We are partnered with the Mission to Seafarers and the Flying Angel. The Flying Angel serves seafarers onboard ships in the Fujairah Anchorage and it is our major outreach involvement (www.angelappeal.com).
Events throughout the year include: The Children’s Christmas Pageant; A Service of Lessons’ and Carols; Potlucks; Holy Week and Easter services. Upcoming planned programs include a Confirmation Class, a Single’s Group. and weekday Bible Study.
